More Than 100 Members of Columbia University Faculty Criticize Lee C. Bollinger's Leadership

At a faculty meeting this week, Columbia University President Lee C. Bollinger heard complaints about his leadership and received a statement of concern signed by more than 100 teachers at the school.

Bollinger, according to The New York Times, "likened his experience at the faculty meeting to watching open-heart surgery on himself..."

The Times noted that unhappiness stemming from the September 24, 2007 speech of Iranian President Mahamoud Ahmidinejad on campus "has simmered on campus ever since."
