The [Rush] Limbaugh Letter Pairs Jimmy Carter and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Soul Lock

In the January 2008 edition of The Limbaugh Letter, radio talk show powerhouse Rush Limbaugh lets lose on former President Jimmy Carter and current Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"Here are two guys who truly deserve each other.  Comrades.  Fellow travelers.  Soulmates, even," says El Rushbo.

Now those who don't fancy Limbaugh, including most of the lopsidedly liberal administrators and academics at Columbia University, will quickly dismiss Rush's insights as just more Neo-Con blabber.

But Rush makes a valid point.

Carter has spent the best part of his post-Presidency sucking up to vile tyrants, notes Rush, including Fidel Castro, Kim Il-Sung, Manuel Noriega and Yasser Arafat

Ahmadinejad, meanwhile, is 2008's most vile tyrant du jour.

Rush suggests that Carter and Ahmadinejad were meant for one another.  He calls them the left's dream team: "Jimmy and Mahmoud: two America-loathing, Israel-stalking, terrorist-loving, democracy-destroying nincompoops..."
